Dr. Lisa L Buttaro

Dr. Buttaro graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1996. She then proceeded directly into a one year general dentistry residency with the U.S. Army Dental Corps. After finishing a tour of duty overseas in Korea, she went on to complete her active duty military service at the Madigan Army Medical Center and then continued to serve our armed forces as a reservist for eight additional years.

Dr. Buttaro has been in private practice in Pierce County since 2000. Dr. Buttaro has made a life long commitment to continuing her dental education and in 2012 she received the prestigious Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. This award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Dr. Buttaro has served on the Board of Trustees for the Pierce County Dental Society since 2010 and is currently serving as the executive secretary and working through the chairs assuming Presidency in 2018. In addition, she has been selected by the Pierce County Dentists as a delegate to the Washington State Dental Association. After representing Pierce County as a delegate for the last 5 years Dr. Buttaro has recently been asked to serve as chairman of a reference committee for the state. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry, Washington Academy of General Dentistry, and a number of other professional study groups.

Outside of the dental office Dr. Buttaro enjoys spending time with family and friends in the great outdoors. She has a true passion for the outdoors and enjoys golfing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking or skiing in the winter. She really enjoys living life fully and enjoying all that the pacific northwest has to offer!
